Material and workmanship

The Snowdrop set is 925 sterling silver without gold plating — the classic choice for those who prefer a cool, calm silver tone without gold accents. The floral niello pattern is placed at the base of the handle of each piece: a black enamel, which is worked by hand into the engraved lines and subsequently polished. The contrast between shiny silver and matte niello black makes the pattern clearly legible even from a distance, without overcrowding the surface.

Snowdrop is part of the range from the SevChern manufactory in Veliky Ustyug, whose niello tradition has been documented since 1683. The set carries the 925 hallmark.

Use and occasions

The Snowdrop set is equally suitable as a supplement to your own tableware or as a gift for a wedding, anniversary, or milestone birthday. The silver look without gold plating matches both classically set tables and modern interiors where gold accents are not desired. The 4-piece set covers the main course, dessert, and tea for one person and can be supplemented with additional place settings, sugar spoons, or lemon forks if required.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Upon request, individual engraving with initials or a personal name is possible — we will coordinate with the manufactory to determine which surface is suitable. We can also include a free 15 × 10 cm landscape format SilberVerse card upon request, individually designed with the words you wish to accompany your gift.

Care

Clean the Snowdrop set by hand with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral detergent and dry it immediately with a soft cloth to avoid water spots. The dishwasher is not suitable — aggressive detergents and high temperatures will damage the niello inlay. Store the cutlery in the included gift box or a cutlery roll, protected from humidity. If the silver tarnishes over time, a special silver polishing cloth is sufficient to restore the shine.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Snowdrop set dishwasher safe?
No. Clean the pieces by hand with mild detergent and dry them immediately so that neither the silver nor the niello inlay is damaged by chemicals or heat.

Can I expand the set for more people?
Yes, the set can be supplemented with additional place settings, teaspoons, sugar spoons, or a lemon fork. We are happy to clarify individually how many people and which additional parts make sense.

What distinguishes Snowdrop from gold-plated sets like Astra Gold?
Snowdrop remains entirely solid silver without gold plating — the niello inlay is the only color accent. Those looking for an additional gold tone will find it in the Tableware and Silver Cutlery assortment under the gold-plated lines.
