Material and Workmanship

The cognac glass consists of a bulbous bowl on a slender foot. The interior is fully highly polished gilded – a taste-neutral surface that presents the cognac warmly and elegantly and protects the silver from tarnishing. The upper rim is also gilded, creating an elegant finish. In the upper part of the bowl, directly below the rim, there is a floral niello composition with gilded floral accents, hand-engraved and filled with a dark alloy that chemically bonds with the silver. The foot is matted and features a gilded border on the lower ring. The glass is manufactured by the SevChern manufactory in Russia, and the original hallmark confirms its origin.

150 ml – for Cognac and deliberate swirling

The bulbous shape – wider at the bowl, narrower at the rim – allows for classic swirling without splashing, provides space for warming in the hand, and concentrates the aromas at the narrow rim. The 925 sterling silver gently transfers hand warmth to the cognac – a noticeable difference from glass.
