The Nectar Motif — Sunflowers in Niello and Gold

The carafe and both cups feature the same continuous ornament: stylized sunflowers and chrysanthemums, framed by floral tendrils. The blossoms are hand-engraved into the linear relief in silver and filled with niello (black sulfur-silver alloy), fused at 800 degrees. Bright gold accents shine in between: gilded petals at the heart of the ornaments, gilded borders at the rim of the cups, and the carafe's lid knob entirely in fine gold.

The result is an ornament with a lot of movement: not strict symmetry like ring motifs, but a lively flower garden in silver, black, and gold. Perfect for occasions where the gift should exude abundance and richness — golden anniversaries, company jubilees, significant milestone birthdays, or as a prestigious gift for business partners.

The Triple Gilding — Master Craftsmanship

This set features one of the most elaborate gildings in the SevChern range. The lid knob of the carafe is entirely crafted in fine gold, the two upper and lower rim borders are gilded, and the petals in the center of the niello ornaments are individually re-gilded. The same applies to the cups: gold at the top, gold at the bottom, gold in the flower centers, and fully gilded on the inside. This level of fine gold application is significantly more intricate than standard gilding — each gold element is applied individually.

How do I properly care for the set?
Only hand wash with lukewarm water, dry immediately. Never put in the dishwasher (damages the gilding), no silver dip (dissolves the fine gold layer). For polished silver surfaces on the outside, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient for light tarnishing. The niello remains dark by itself.
