This 925 sterling silver jewelry box is shaped like a Russian Easter basket: a twisted handle, a domed lid with a golden lily crown as a knob, and dense floral niello ornamentation in black and gold over the entire surface. The set also includes a removable basket and a hand chain with small egg pendants – three pieces that, as an ensemble, make an Easter gift with collector's value.

Material and workmanship

The entire body of the box is covered with niello hand engraving: large floral medallions alternate with dense tendril fields, all in black on silver with gold-plated contours. The domed lid reflects the same ornamentation and bears a gold-plated fleur-de-lis on top. The inside of the box is completely gold-plated. Inside sits a removable basket with a twisted handle, which can be used separately as a small jewelry dish – on the bedside table for rings, on the dresser for earrings. The set also includes a hand chain made of 925 silver with small egg pendants, each egg with the same niello ornament as the box.
