Silver cutlery set Family – 4 pieces, 925 silver Niello

A 925 sterling silver cutlery set featuring niello ornamentation on the front of each piece — a rectangular floral motif that defines the simpler, cleaner lines of the Family collection. A four-piece place setting crafted in Russia: a solid foundation for your own home or as a gift for weddings and anniversaries.

Unlike some other niello sets, the ornamentation in the Family collection is intentionally placed only on the front of the handles — a rectangular field with a floral motif that gives the set a calmer, cleaner aesthetic. The niello technique itself remains the same: a dark silver alloy is melted by hand into engraved lines and polished until it is firmly bonded to the silver.

Material and craftsmanship

All four pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and are crafted in Russia. The floral motif on the front of each handle is hand-engraved before the niello compound is melted in and subsequently polished.

Usage and occasions

The 4-piece set is suitable as tableware for your own home as well as a gift for a wedding, anniversary, or other special occasions. Those who prefer a simpler niello look over heavily decorated handles will find the Family collection to be a more understated alternative that integrates well into existing tableware or serves as a standalone place setting for one person.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Upon approval, we can engrave initials or a date onto the handles to turn the set into a personal gift. We also include a free 15 x 10 cm SilberVerse card — digitally designed in photo format with your custom text.

Care

Hand-wash the set with warm water and mild dish soap to protect the niello ornamentation. We advise against using a dishwasher, as harsh detergents can damage the surface and the niello contrast. Dry the pieces immediately after washing with a soft cloth and store them in the included gift box to prevent tarnishing. If needed, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient to restore the shine.

Frequently asked questions

In the Family collection, the ornament is intentionally concentrated on the front of the handles — this creates a calmer, cleaner appearance compared to sets decorated on both sides.

Is a personal engraving possible?
Yes, upon approval, we can engrave initials or a date onto the handles. We also design a free 15 x 10 cm SilberVerse card for this purpose.

Is this genuine 925 silver?
