Description
What does “С Днём Ангела” mean on a spoon? It means “Happy Name Day.” In Russian, “Angel Day” is the name day. This christening spoon is made of 925 silver and features an angel in niello. Perfect for a christening or name day.
For a christening
A spoon with an angel

Christening giftsAngel in the shield: halo, wings, arched inscription
The shield features an angel with a halo and outstretched wings. The inscription arches around the figure. An ornament follows at the base of the handle.
The bowl remains plain and polished, so nothing is removed from the angel.
“С Днём Ангела”: a literal translation of the inscription
Literally, it means “Happy Angel Day.” In Russian, Angel Day is the name day. It is not the christening day.
The greeting is therefore for the day of one’s own name. The spoon is still suitable for a christening, as a silver spoon is a traditional gift for the occasion. The inscription is in Russian. This translation tells you what it says.
Ink in silver: the angel in niello
Nielloa is our brand for silver with niello. The technique itself is called niello. The dark design sits in the silver like ink on paper, but permanently. It was engraved by hand in Veliky Ustyug.
More pieces from this collection feature Nielloa christening gifts.
Engraving on the back, angel on the front: name and date on the handle
The back of the handle can hold up to 20 characters, such as a name and christening date. Add the engraving service to your order and enter the desired text in the “Note to the cashier” field. The flat fee will be refunded if the engraving fails.
A verse for the name day? Then order the SilberVerse card (available upon request at no extra cost, 15 × 10 cm). At approx. 15.3 cm and approx. 36 g, it is larger and heavier than the animal spoons.
Matching the angel: christening cup and gift set
A spoon alone is already a gift. If you would like to give more, the “Archangel Michael” christening cup is a perfect addition. The three-piece christening gift set also brings several pieces together.
