Description
What shines most on an angel? Its halo, of course. On this 925 sterling silver baby spoon, it is golden, as is the moon below it. The shooting star and some of the stars and hearts on the handle are gilded too. The rest remains silver, giving the little figure the appearance of being bathed in warm light.
For Birth
When the first days have begun
Silver gifts for newborns, collected for parents, grandparents, and visitors.
Gifts for BirthGold only where it’s meant to shine
Partially gold-plated here means: the halo, moon, shooting star, heart, and some of the stars are gold, while the remaining symbols and the figure itself remain silver. At 113 mm long and weighing approximately 16 g, it is slightly shorter than the little angel spoon. The symbols on the handle are raised and can be felt with the fingers; there are small tactile dots in the bowl of the spoon. The white case with a rainbow ribbon makes it ready for gifting.
Baptism, birth, and a guardian angel as an image
As a guardian angel symbol, the seated angel represents a wish for comfort, not a promise. Godparents like to choose it as a baptism gift with an angel, while parents and grandparents choose it as a spoon for a birth. The moon and stars can be interpreted as night, and the heart as affection; these are interpretations of the motifs, not assurances.
For baptisms, you can find further ideas under Baptism Gifts.
No engraving, but a card and birth spoon
The angel with its reliefs leaves no smooth surface that could be engraved. Upon request, you can receive the free SilberVerse card instead: a verse printed on photo paper that you can include with the gift. If you would like a name to be in silver, our birth spoons are the right choice.
For those who prefer a darker, higher-contrast look, choose the blackened angel; those who prefer a bunny on the handle should look at the bunny with a gold-plated bow.
Questions about the gilded angel
Which parts are gold-plated?
The halo, moon, shooting star, a heart, and some of the stars on the handle. You can see exactly how it is distributed in the photos.
Can the spoon be engraved?
No, the figure and relief do not leave a smooth surface. As an alternative, we offer a free SilberVerse card upon request.
Is the gold a coating?
It is partial gold plating on 925 sterling silver. As with all gold plating, the rule applies: treat it gently and do not scrub.
How heavy is a silver spoon?
This one weighs approx. 16 g and is 113 mm long, which makes it one of the small baby spoons.
Where can I find suitable gifts for a birth?
For example, under Gifts for Birth or among our silver baby spoons.
