ArgentA gold-plates the figure and heart, then the silver is polished by hand to a high shine. This makes the gold plating stand out clearly against the smooth handle and the shining bowl.

No, not in the dishwasher. Wash both pieces briefly in lukewarm water, rub them dry with a soft cloth and store them dry. You care for the gold plating like the rest of the silver.
