Material and Craftsmanship

The body of the jug features a dense niello ornament of intertwined floral and geometric patterns, covering the entire belly area. The dark lines and blossoms are created by engraving, filled with the black niello alloy of silver, copper, lead, and sulfur, fired, and then precisely polished. The interior is completely gilded – aesthetic and functional at the same time, as the gilding protects milk and coffee cream from silver discoloration. The handle, rim, and ornamental lines radiate in warm gold. The harmonious spherical shape ensures timeless elegance and a pleasant pouring experience, while the finely crafted swan-neck spout pours drip-free and is clearly delineated from the frosted silver area with a gilded edge.
