Material and Craftsmanship

The body is made of solid 925 sterling silver and features a continuous band of Niello ornamentation on the outside – a technique also known as "ink in silver." A dark metal alloy is applied into fine, pre-engraved lines and inextricably bonded with the silver. The result is not an applied lacquer, but a chemical-physical bond that is permanent and gains contrast with every polish. The pattern of the "Tradition" cup shows a dense floral relief that extends over the entire body and is framed by a narrow golden braided border. The inside of the cup is completely gilded – this protects against tarnishing and makes every hot beverage gleam in warm gold. The foot and the curved handle are also gilded, while the central body contrasts in matte silver-white with the dark Niello. On the bottom, you'll find the hallmark – the assay mark that confirms the silver content. Care

Clean the cup exclusively by hand with warm water and a mild detergent, then gently pat dry. Please do not apply pressure or abrasive cleaners to the gilded inner surface and the Niello decoration – a soft silver polishing cloth is sufficient to maintain its luster. The cup is not dishwasher safe.
