105 mm diameter, 145 mm wide, 125 mm high, 500 ml, 367 g solid 925 silver. This is the teapot from the Botanica collection — the piece around which everything else revolves. The cups await it. The sugar bowl flanks it. The milk jug complements it. When this pot is on the table, the table is set.

The ornamental band is hand-engraved — by SevChern master engravers in Veliky Ustyug, Northern Russia — and filled with niello: a black metal alloy melted at over 800 degrees and chemically bonded to the silver. The ornament is not on the silver. It is in the silver. Insoluble, permanent, with no possibility of fading.

The Triad — Gold, Niello, Matte Silver

What distinguishes the Botanica collection from other silver services is the triad of three surfaces: the matte 925 silver of the main body, the deep black niello ornamental band, and the warm gold of the gilded accents — handle, spout, lid finial. These three tones together create a warmth that pure silver surfaces do not have.

The floral band — blossoms, tendrils, botanical pattern in the style of the Veliky Ustyug school — completely encircles the body. The same ornament adorns every piece of the collection: cups, saucers, sugar bowl, milk jug, spoons. The ensemble is harmonious because it comes from the same hand.

Individually Configurable — for Any Number of People

The teapot is a unique piece — and it is a building block. You can order it alone. You can combine it with cups and saucers. You can take the complete 23-piece tea service for 6 people (SW10205) or put together a smaller ensemble for 2 or 4 people.

Care: Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild dish soap. No dishwasher, no silver dip — the gilding would suffer. The niello band is permanently fused; normal cleaning does not harm it. Polish the gilded parts only with a soft cloth. Store in the gift box.

How many people does the teapot serve?
500 ml is 4–5 cups of 85 ml each — a service for 2–4 people without refilling. The ensemble can be configured upon request for any number of people: 1, 2, 4, 6 or more. Individual pieces can be reordered at any time. Contact us.

What is the difference between Botanica and the non-gilded niello line?
Botanica has gilded accents — handle, spout, lid finial — and displays the triad of gold, niello black, and matte silver. The non-gilded niello line (e.g., service set SW10206, teapot SW10179) is pure 925 silver with niello — cooler, without gold. Both come from Veliky Ustyug, both feature niello hand-engraving.

Is engraving possible?
Yes — on the bottom of the pot. Date, initials, or a short phrase. Please specify your engraving request when ordering.

How long does production take?
