In a tea service, the sugar bowl belongs in the center of the table. It is not passed around — it stands, and everyone serves themselves. In the Floralis collection, this bowl is the connecting piece: open, accessible, highly visible. The floral niello ornament on its body is the same as on the teapot (550 ml), the coffee pot (800 ml), and the milk jug (220 ml) — the same floral style, the same blackening, the same matted silver surface.

The service is modular — upon request, we assemble exactly what you need: for 2, 4, 6 or more people, individually or as a set. Each piece can be reordered separately, the ensemble grows with you.

The Niello Ornament — Hand Engraving from Veliky Ustyug

Niello is not a coating. It is a black metal alloy — silver, copper, lead, sulfur — which is melted into engraved depressions, fired, and chemically bonded with the base silver. What results cannot be removed, washed off, or polished away. The floral ornament on this sugar bowl will be the same in thirty years as it is today.

Care: Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild dish soap — no dishwasher, no silver dip. The niello ornament is permanently melted; normal cleaning will not harm it. Freshen up the matted surface with a soft silver polishing cloth. Store in the gift box.

400 ml capacity — enough for a service for 4–6 people, without refilling. Upon request, we will put together a complete Floralis ensemble for your desired number of people — for 2, 4, 6 or more people, individually, as a set or as an extension.

How long does production take?
The piece is made-to-order — in the SevChern manufactory in Veliky Ustyug. Production times vary depending on the order situation. Contact us before ordering for current delivery times — especially if a specific date is planned.
