Material and workmanship

The gilded tea strainer with a teardrop-shaped bowl is not just a functional object that is quickly overlooked. The handle bears floral niello ornaments – rosette blossoms engraved into the silver and filled with dark niello alloy. Its ergonomic teardrop shape allows it to rest stably on the cup and can be placed upside down on the saucer after use.
