Jewelry Box Apple 925 Silver Niello — gilded with leaf handle

An apple made of 925 sterling silver, perfectly round and completely covered with a floral niello ornament, with a golden leaf and stem as a handle. Opened at the equator, warm fine gold is revealed inside – a contrast that makes this jewelry box a small ritual on the nightstand: cool and graphic on the outside, warm and luminous on the inside.

Material and workmanship

The entire sphere is covered with a floral niello ornament – blossoms, leaves and tendrils in niello black on polished silver, with no empty space. Golden bands at the equator and base structure the shape, while a golden leaf with a stem sits at the top, serving as the handle for the lid. The upper half with the leaf can be lifted off at the equator, and the closure fits perfectly. Inside, fine gold awaits you – the entire interior is gold-plated, which protects the jewelry stored within and provides a warm moment of surprise upon opening.

The box is crafted by the SevChern manufactory in Veliky Ustyug.

Usage and occasions

The apple is one of the oldest symbols: temptation, knowledge, beauty, fertility. In Russian fairy tales, there is also the "golden apple," which promises eternal youth.
