Material and craftsmanship
At the end of the handle sits a three-dimensional bunny holding a heart, with a sculpted bow just below it. Raised hearts and stars alternate along the entire length of the handle. The oxidation is applied specifically into the recesses of the relief, creating a dark contrast that makes the symbols stand out. The bowl of the spoon features three subtle raised areas for tactile and taste stimulation.
Occasions and target groups
A baby spoon with a bunny motif is a versatile gift for the first months of life. It makes an ideal first silver gift at birth symbolizing new beginnings, a classic spring gift for Easter, or a lasting keepsake from godparents or grandparents at a baptism. Perfect for gift-givers who appreciate an understated color design.
SilberVerse card
Due to the relief ornamentation on both sides, this spoon cannot be engraved. As a personal touch, we offer a complimentary, digitally designed SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm photo format (landscape).
Care
Clean exclusively by hand with a soft cotton cloth. Avoid dishwashers, aggressive cleaning agents, and silver dipping baths, as these would remove the darkening. The oxidized areas will naturally deepen over time, developing an individual patina.
Frequently asked questions
What does the bunny motif represent as a gift?
The bunny symbolizes fertility, spring, and new beginnings — a beautiful message for the birth of a child and a perfect Easter gift.
Is engraving possible?
No, both sides of the handle feature continuous relief decorations with hearts and stars, leaving no space for engraving.
How is the darkening created?
The oxidation is a purely surface-level process and a proven finishing technique used for centuries. Use the spoon only under supervision and clean it after each use.
