The duckling at the end of this baby rattle in 925 sterling silver has a big, round head, a neckerchief and one raised wing, and is turned halfway to the side. Below it runs a smoothly polished handle that widens towards the end. A name or a date can be set on this calm surface, which makes the rattle the duckling version for engraving. Silver Duck Baby Rattle: the Duckling with Neckerchief and Raised Wing

The rattle shows a duckling, not a duck: the beak curves upwards, the face below seems to smile, the eye is drawn in cartoon style, and the neckerchief sits snugly at the neck. Both sides of the duckling are identical, so it looks the same from the left and from the right. A small loop sits where the figure meets the handle. As a young animal, the duckling stands for playfulness, an interpretation that does not assign a gender.

The rattle measures approx. 14 cm and weighs approx. 21 g. The silver weighs slightly differently from piece to piece.

A first name with a date such as "Mara 03.05.27" fits, whereas a long double name with a full date gets tight. In that case a short form of the name with the date, or the name alone, helps; we discuss the wording with you before anything is engraved.
