Description
A little guardian angel watches over the photo: This picture frame with violet guilloché enamel and a silver-colored angel appliqué is a lasting keepsake for a baptism — solemn in appearance, delicate in symbolism.
At a glance
- Frame: silver-colored, rhodium-plated brass
- Appliqué: guardian angel in silver look
- Decoration: guilloché enamel, violet
- Backing: wood, genuine jeweler's glass
- Frame shape: rectangular outer, oval inner cutout
- Photo format: oval, approx. 6 × 9 cm
- Weight: approx. 220 g
Material and workmanship
The rectangular frame consists of silver-colored, rhodium-plated brass with a violet guilloché enamel surface: a fine, repeating ornament was engraved into the metal before multiple layers of transparent enamel were applied. Depending on how the light hits it, the pattern shimmers with varying intensity through the enamel layer. A small guardian angel in a silver look sits in the bottom right corner — praying, delicate, and protective. The oval viewing window inside is equipped with genuine jeweler's glass; the back is made of wood and is suitable as a surface for a personal engraving.
Use and occasions
This frame is intended as a gift for a baptism or the birth of a girl — a moment it captures permanently and with dignity. In many cultures, the guardian angel represents care and guidance throughout life, a motif that carries special meaning particularly at a baptism. As a gift from godparents, grandparents, or family friends, this small picture frame finds a permanent place in the nursery or on a bedside table.
Engraving and SilberVerse card
We will check the wooden back as an engraving surface — upon approval, we will engrave a name, a baptism date, or a short baptism quote. You add the engraving service flat rate to your shopping cart together with the frame; we will then check feasibility and scope and coordinate the wording with you. If an engraving is not possible, we will refund the flat rate. Upon request, we will also include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm landscape) — individually designed, matching the occasion, and free of charge.
Care
The surface is best cleaned with a dry, soft cloth. Aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided. For the silver-colored details, a special silver polishing cloth is suitable. The inserted jeweler's glass is delicate and should not be dropped or pressed firmly.
Frequently asked questions
What is guilloché enamel?
A technique in which fine lines are engraved into the metal before multiple layers of transparent enamel are applied and fired. This creates a shimmering, ornamental pattern with depth.
Can I have the picture frame engraved?
Yes, upon review: The back of the wooden support is suitable for an engraving with a name, date, or short text. You add the engraving service flat rate to your shopping cart together with the frame; we will then check feasibility and scope and coordinate the wording with you. If an engraving is not possible, we will refund the flat rate.
What photo format is the frame suitable for?
The oval cutout is designed for smaller photos in a format of approx. 6 × 9 cm and gives every picture an elegant frame.
