Lemon fork 925 silver Niello – Serving fork Astra Black

The lemon fork from the Astra Black collection is a delicate serving piece in 925 sterling silver, finished with a floral niello engraving. Material and craftsmanship

Unlike many pieces with gold accents, the Astra Black lemon fork remains entirely silver-toned: the two-pronged tip is smoothly polished, while the flat end of the handle features a dark niello cartouche with a floral pattern. With the niello technique, a black inlay is hand-fused into the engraved lines, ground flush, and polished — like ink in silver; not a print or lacquer, but permanently bonded to the silver. It is precisely this absence of gold plating that defines the character of the Astra Black line: a modern, minimalist interpretation of the classic Astra design language in black and silver.

Usage and occasions

The lemon fork is used for serving lemon slices, olives, chocolates, or fine pastries. Combined with a tea service or dessert cutlery in 925 silver, it creates a serene, harmonious look on the table. As a gift, it is suitable for hosts who wish to equip their coffee table with high-quality silverware, for lovers of classic forms with fine hand-engraving, and for collectors who prefer the minimalist Astra Black design over gold-plated variants. It also makes a stylish choice as a small gift for weddings or anniversaries.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Engraving directly onto the fork is not intended for this piece. Optionally, we can include a personal SilberVerse card in photo format (15 × 10 cm landscape) — individually designed to suit the occasion and free of charge, also available to order without any engraving.

Care

Clean the fork by hand after use with warm water and mild detergent, then dry and polish with a silver polishing cloth. Avoid using the dishwasher. Store the fork in the provided gift case or in a soft silver cloth, protected from aggressive cleaning agents.
