Description
Description
For the birth of a daughter, granddaughter, or goddaughter: a baby gift set made of 925 silver with a teddy bear girl motif — a child's cup (100 ml) with a teddy bear relief and a small bow on the bear's head, plus a baby spoon with a sitting 3D teddy bear at the top of the handle. Both pieces are from ArgentA's DoDo line, the cup features a tactile handle with colorful indentations for small girl's hands. The set comes in the original DoDo gift box.
What do you give when a daughter is on the way and the gift should be useful from the first independent sip? A child's cup with a teddy bear bow — not a toy, but her first very own drinking vessel. How do you find a godparent gift for a goddaughter that will still tell a girl's story in 30 years? A 925 silver cup with a bear detail that is unmistakably feminine thanks to the small bow. What do grandparents whose granddaughter has just been born wish for? A set that accompanies the transition from the weaning phase to learning to drink — the bear motifs remain the same, the function changes from feeding to independent sipping.

What distinguishes the girl's version from its boy's counterpart
Both sets — the girl's version here and the boy's counterpart — are identical in set composition, cup shape, handle tactility, and spoon. The difference lies in one detail on the bear's head: In the girl's version, the teddy bear wears a small bow on its head, and the bear's face appears finer. In the boy's counterpart, a bow tie is at its neck instead, and the bear is drawn with sharper lines. This minimal differentiation makes the set a clearly intended gesture — a girl's gift without a pink code, but through a traditional bow detail.
The Child's Cup with Teddy Bear Bow — Her First Own Drinking Vessel
With a volume of 100 ml, a diameter of 6 cm, and a weight of 74 g, the child's cup is specifically designed for the phase when daughters begin to drink independently — usually from about 12 months. This is not a baby cup for parents to feed with, but a first personal cup for the daughter's hand. The handle has an ergonomic curved shape, with colorful tactile indentations made of enamel on the outside — fine, slightly raised dots in green, yellow, white, and other color accents that stabilize the hand when gripping and simultaneously continue the visual learning path established by the DoDo line on the baby spoons' handles. On the front of the cup is the teddy bear relief with a bow — the defining characteristic of the girl's version.
The Baby Spoon with 3D Teddy Bear — Companion from the Weaning Phase
The spoon is the earliest part of this set to be used — it comes into play from the weaning age (about 5–6 months). A small, sitting 3D teddy bear sculpture is at the top of the handle, the handle itself is ornately designed, and the bowl is oval and smooth. At 12.5 cm long and weighing 21 g, it is lighter than the later cup and suitable for the first spoonfuls parents give the girl. When the child transitions to the cup at about 12 months, the spoon remains in use as a familiar companion — same bear, same line, new function.
DoDo Concept on the Handle — Touching and Gripping with System
The DoDo line by ArgentA was developed in collaboration with speech therapists, defectologists, and child psychologists. The tactile principle is found on baby spoons' handles as a bubble relief, and here on the child's cup handle as colorful indentations. When gripping, the indentation structure guides the girl's hand, when holding, the raised dots stabilize the grip, and when looking, the color dots attract the eye. Pediatricians in Russia have explicitly recommended the line for infants and toddlers — thus, the teaching tool is not only on the tablespoon but also continues on the first independent drinking cup.
Sibling Gift: Girl's Set alongside Boy's Set
Families with multiple children or godparents for multiple children often choose the girl's and boy's versions in parallel — each child receives their own set, the bear's character differs only in one detail (bow or bow tie), the rest is coordinated. This makes two individual gifts into a cohesive family ensemble — sister and brother, goddaughter and godson, granddaughter and grandson. Those who give the two sets together can also plan a combined engraving — for example, the birth dates of both children on the back of the spoon handles.
Engraving on Request — Back of the Spoon Handle
The baby spoon can be engraved upon request — on the back of the handle. A short name and date are recommended (approximately 12–18 characters per line combined). The cup can also be engraved upon request — either on the inside of the base or subtly below the bear relief; please contact us before ordering. For an engraving order, we include a free SilberVerse card — a handwritten poem, individually tailored to the occasion and printed on photographic paper.
Everyday Care
Clean the child's cup and baby spoon by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, and dry with a soft cloth. For the polished 925 silver surfaces, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient to remove light tarnish — the manufacturer manually polishes the pieces before shipping. For the colorful tactile indentations on the handle, do not apply abrasive cleaners or silver polish directly — the color dots are permanently embedded but cannot withstand harsh cleaning. Neither piece is dishwasher safe. For storage, the DoDo box remains the best solution.
Frequently Asked Questions
From what age is the set suitable?
The baby spoon is used for feeding by parents from weaning age (about 5–6 months). The child's cup follows at about 12 months, when the girl begins to drink independently. Both pieces accompany the transition from weaning to independent meals at the table.
What is the difference from the boy's version?
The girl's version has a teddy bear with a bow on its head, while the boy's version has a bear with a bow tie at its neck. The set composition, handle tactility, spoon, and box are identical — the differentiation is only in the bear detail.
What engraving is best?
A short name + date on the back of the spoon handle is recommended — this fits best with the handle shape and remains easily legible. Example: "Lina · 14.05.2024". Longer dedications can potentially be placed on the cup instead.
Are the colorful indentations on the handle safe?
Yes. The indentations are made of fired enamel, firmly bonded to the silver. They have no sharp edges and are saliva-resistant — safe even for initial biting.
Can the set be supplemented later?
Yes. Other matching pieces are available from the ArgentA line — fork, plate with handles, and larger cups. Upon request, we can put together an expanded set configuration.
