Baby spoon 925 silver DoDo Bear — with bear figure

At the top of this 925 sterling silver baby spoon stands a small teddy bear, crafted in full relief on both sides, with a round head and open arms – without any color, just polished silver. Such a motif is considered a symbol of comfort, the first best friend for many children. It is a suitable gift as soon as a child is born, as well as for a christening or their first tooth.

Material and Craftsmanship

Solid 925 sterling silver forms the base of this spoon, and the bowl is highly polished. The bear’s head, ears, and arms are equally detailed on both sides, ensuring the front and back show the same image. Below, a fine, curved line runs down the handle, making it comfortable for small hands to hold.

Occasions and Target Groups

For parents looking for a single piece with a meaning of its own, this spoon is perfect for both birth and the arrival of the first tooth. Godparents often choose it as a personal christening gift, while grandparents combine tradition and affection in a single piece.

Engraving and SilberVerse Card

ArgentA inspects this spoon before every engraving; it is booked as an engraving service, and we will clarify details regarding the wording and placement together afterwards. For those who would like to include their own message as well or instead: the SilberVerse card is available at no extra cost, 15 by 10 centimeters in size, specifically designed for the child and the occasion.

Care

It is best to wash the spoon by hand; lukewarm water with a little mild dish soap is sufficient, after which you should dry it with a soft cloth. Since it is made entirely without enamel, a silver polishing cloth will restore its full shine whenever it develops a patina. It is not dishwasher safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the spoon be engraved?
Yes, but only after inspection by ArgentA; engraving is done on the back of the handle and is booked via the engraving service.

From what age is the spoon intended?
It is usually gifted right from birth; it can be used under supervision as soon as the child is developmentally ready for their first attempts at eating.

Why a teddy bear as a motif?
It stands for comfort and warmth and is one of the best-known childhood motifs, suitable for both boys and girls.

Is the bear also available in color?
Yes, with enamel in red-purple or orange-gold as the DoDo Bear enamel spoon.

How does the spoon arrive?
It arrives in an elegant gift box, so you can give it as it is. On request we will add gift wrap – this is rarely asked for, because people usually like to look at the item once more before giving it. How the box is designed may change over time.
