DoDo Tactile Series – the spoon with three curves

The christening spoon is not just small, it is built to be tactile. Three gentle curves are incorporated into the bowl, which support swallowing when starting complementary foods – the tongue finds grip on the spoon, making the transition from bottle to solid food gentler. The handle has a bubble relief that leaves a pleasant feeling in small hands: silver that can be felt, instead of silver that just shines.

Angel as a quiet symbol of protection

The angel on the cup and on the spoon is not strictly religious, but rather childishly friendly – a small being with a halo, wings, and praying hands. Material and care

Both pieces are made of 925 sterling silver, the spoon with fine gilding on the angel and colored enamel accents on the handle. Care is simple if you follow a few points:

• Clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, soft cloth – no dishwasher, no hard sponges, no aggressive cleaners (enamel can become dull otherwise).
• Wipe dry after use – delays the natural tarnishing of silver.
• If polished surfaces tarnish: use a soft silver polishing cloth without abrasive grain – brings back the shine without damaging the enamel or gilding.
• Store in the case if the set is not used for a longer period – this protects against air contact.

From what age is the set suitable?
The christening spoon is intended as a complementary feeding spoon – many parents start introducing purees between 4 and 6 months; we recommend using it from 6 months, when the baby can sit upright and the swallowing reflex is secure. The set is often given as a christening gift and kept ready until the baby is old enough. The cup comes into use a little later, as soon as the first attempts at drinking from a glass or cup begin.

What does "tactile" mean for the DoDo spoon?
Three small curves in the spoon bowl provide guidance for the baby's tongue during swallowing – making the transition from sucking to swallowing gentler. Additionally, the handle has a bubble relief that provides a pleasant gripping sensation for small hands. "Tactile" simply means: silver that is more than just smooth to the touch.

Is it true that silver has antibacterial properties?
925 sterling silver releases fine silver ions that have antibacterial effects – a property that has been valued for centuries in many cultures for baby spoons, drinking vessels, and water pendants. This, of course, does not replace cleaning, but it is a pleasant side effect of a real silver spoon compared to stainless steel or plastic alternatives.

What kind of engraving is possible?
The back of the cup can accommodate a name, christening date, a short verse, or a monogram. The back of the spoon is better suited for short initials or the date (max. approx. 20 characters). Why is it available in two colors?
The angel at the end of the spoon handle wears either a pink dress (girl's variant, this set) or a blue dress (see boy's variant). The cup, handle dots, and handle relief are identical in both sets. This allows for gifting siblings or twin godchildren as a matching pair.
