Baby Gift Set 925 Silver – Children's Cup and Tactile Spoon Train

A drinking cup that eventually ends up in a drawer, and a spoon that disappears after the weaning period — that is the fate of most baby gifts. If you are looking instead for something that remains a keepsake while still being used daily, this two-piece set consisting of a child’s cup and baby spoon with a locomotive motif is the answer: 925 sterling silver, a classic symbol of movement for boys, and colorful enamel accents that give the set a playful, child-friendly character. Whether as a gift for a birth, a baptism, or from a godparent to their godchild — this duo is designed for a long life shared with the child.

Material and craftsmanship

Both pieces are made of 925 sterling silver — intended for daily use at the child's table, not just for the shelf. The cup features a locomotive in semi-relief on its belly, framed by wheels and small details that make the train recognizable at first glance. The spoon picks up the same motif on the head and implements it in warm enamel colors — green, yellow, blue, and red combine to form a cheerful harmony of colors that stands out clearly from simply polished silver. The manufacturer is ArgentA, a workshop with experience in child-friendly silver work.

Occasions and target groups

The locomotive has for generations been a symbol of setting off and embarking on one's first journey — an image that fits a boy's first big steps. For a birth, the set is suitable as a gift from grandparents or close family friends who want to give the newborn something that lasts beyond the baby years. For a baptism, it becomes a classic godparent gift in a modern form. And by the first birthday, when the child begins to grasp and spoon for themselves, the baby spoon turns from a keepsake into a daily companion. This set also fits well among early life milestones as a gift for the first tooth or a naming ceremony.

If you are looking for a counterpart for a girl, it is worth taking a look at the version with an angel motif in pink — the same idea, different symbolism.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Upon verification, the cup can be engraved on the back of its belly — there is room here for a name and date of birth without obscuring the locomotive. The spoon can also be engraved with a short name on the back of the handle, subject to verification. On request, we include with your order a free 15 × 10 cm landscape-format SilberVerse card — digitally designed and individually tailored to the child.

Care

925 sterling silver will gently tarnish darker over time — this is normal patina and not a flaw. With a soft silver polishing cloth, the shine is restored in a few seconds. The enamel dots are colorfast and withstand mild cleaning, but should not be put in the dishwasher — hand washing with warm water and mild dish soap is sufficient and preserves both the silver and the color accents in the long term.
