Silver Baby Rattle 925 Duck — Textured Handle

A little duck in profile sits as the rattle head on the handle of this baby rattle in 925 sterling silver: a round body, a small beak, one wing laid close to the body and the tip of the tail slightly raised. The handle below carries lengthwise grooves and, at the end, a bow in relief. Zaramella Argenti makes the rattle in Italy.

Duck Handle Rattle in Silver: the Bath-Duck Shape in Profile

The figure recalls a bath duck: a rounded body, a head with a small beak and a round eye. Because the animal is shown from the side, it looks the same from both sides. A small loop sits where the duck meets the handle. The rattle is approx. 13 cm long and weighs approx. 20 g, and the weight differs slightly from piece to piece.

Duck and duckling are two different motifs here. The duck wears no neckerchief. The duckling has a neckerchief and a big round head, and raises one wing; it sits on the rattle with a smooth handle and on the rattle with grooves.

A Playful Duck, a Calm Handle: Grooves and a Bow

In the grip you feel groove after groove and, at the end, the raised bow, a handle with something to feel. It is not meant for engraving, as the grooves and the bow leave no smooth surface free.

If you would like to put a name or a date on a duck rattle, choose the smooth rattle with a duckling: a different motif, a smooth handle, up to 20 characters. For this duck, a SilberVerse card can be requested free of charge: a verse of three to four lines on a photo card (15 × 10 cm) in the standard frame. How it works is explained under SilberVerse.

Duck on a Handle or on an Acrylic Ring

The same duck hangs, sitting, from a pearl-white acrylic ring on the teething ring rattle with a duck. It measures approx. 10.5 cm and, like the rattle here, cannot be engraved.

For a Birth, a Baby Shower, Grandparents and Godparents

For a baby shower, a silver rattle can be given before the birth, without a name or a gender having to be settled. Grandparents give the duck for a birth, godparents for a christening; it is a friendly motif.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Duck Rattle with a Handle

Who is the duck rattle meant for, girls or boys?
For both. The duck is a simple animal motif that does not assign a gender, and so it suits every child.

Is the duck rattle available with engraving too?
This one is not, as its handle has grooves and a bow. The duckling rattle with a smooth handle can be engraved, take a look here; it is ordered with the engraving service fee.

Does a spoon go with the duck rattle?
Yes, if you want to give more for a birth or a christening, you can combine the rattle with a silver spoon. Single spoons are in the silver baby spoons.

Does the duck rattle come in a box?
Yes, an elegant gift box is included, and its design may change.

How do I care for the rattle with the grooved handle?
Warm water, a little mild dish soap and a soft cloth are enough. If the silver tarnishes, a silver polishing cloth polishes it up again; the dishwasher and harsh cleaners are not part of caring for silver.

Has the duck handle rattle been hallmarked?
The duck handle rattle is hallmarked and bears a fineness stamp (hallmark). If you'd like photos in advance, we're happy to send them to you. It also comes with the maker's certificate card.
