Children's Spoon 925 Silver — Gilded Star Pattern from the Royal Childhood Collection
At the end of the handle of this children's spoon made of 925 sterling silver, gilded stars sparkle on polished silver — a large five-pointed star at the top, with smaller stars flowing down the broad stem head below. Above all, a golden crown with three points is enthroned. No enamel, no color — just gold on silver. It is the most elegant interpretation of the star motif in the collection: more understated than the colorful variants (yellow-red, yellow-blue), but therefore all the more festive. Gender-neutral, timeless, and radiant. From the Royal Childhood by ArgentA collection.

Design — Gilded Stars on Polished Silver
This design deliberately forgoes enamel and color. Instead, it speaks in the oldest language of goldsmithing: gold on silver. The result is a spoon that appears more elegant and understated than its colorful counterparts — and precisely because of this, develops a special radiance.
The golden crown at the top edge of the handle head is the hallmark of the Royal Childhood collection. Three points, gilded and finely contoured — it marks the beginning of the star motif and gives the spoon its royal frame.
The large star directly below the crown dominates the handle head. A five-pointed star in warm gold, clearly contoured and fully gilded. Its five points radiate in all directions — a star that does not stand still, but shines. The gilding clearly sets it apart from the polished silver background and gives it an almost three-dimensional presence.
Smaller stars follow below and flow down the stem. They are arranged in various sizes — a descending cascade of gold on silver, reminiscent of a starry sky. The large star above is the guiding star, the small stars its companions. Together they form a constellation that enlivens the entire upper stem area.
The lower stem remains polished silver — simple and without decoration, so that the stars above can unfold their full effect. The spoon bowl is highly polished, without gilding.
What distinguishes this spoon from the enamel stars?
The collection offers three star motifs: Stars Yellow-Red (SW10703) with colored enamel in orange, yellow and red, Stars Yellow-Blue (SW11358) with enamel in yellow and blue, and these Stars Gilded (SW11364) without enamel. The difference is fundamental: The enamel variants are colorful, cheerful and childlike — they show stars with faces and warm colors. The gilded spoon, on the other hand, is purely ornamental: stars without a face, without color, only in gold and silver. It speaks a different language — less playful, more timeless. A spoon that still looks elegant even as an adult.
Stars as a Symbol — Wishes, Dreams, and Guidance
Stars are among the most universal symbols in human history. They stand for dreams, wishes, guidance, and light in the darkness. Seafarers navigated by them, poets wrote about them, and to this day we make a wish when a shooting star falls.
For a gift at birth or christening, stars carry a special message: Reach for the stars. Follow your guiding star. You are a star. The crown above the star adds: And you are not just any — you are the brightest.
The gilding adds an additional layer of meaning to the star motif. In heraldry, gold stands for generosity, dignity, and warmth. A golden star on silver is a double precious metal symbol — valuable in material and meaning. It is a gift that not only conveys a wish to the child but clothes this wish in valuable material.
The different star sizes on the spoon tell their own story: The large star at the top is the child — the center, the main star. The smaller stars below are family, friends, companions — people who shine alongside the child on their life's journey. Together they form a constellation that symbolizes belonging and security.
Royal Childhood Collection — ArgentA
The Royal Childhood is a collection within the ArgentA range that combines children's motifs with the symbolism of the crown. The golden crown accent is the unifying element of all spoons in this line — whether on a star, a coat of arms, a bear, or a child figure. The message is always the same: every child deserves to be received like royalty.
Within the star series, the gilded spoon represents the most elegant variant. While the enamel stars (yellow-red, yellow-blue) captivate with color and friendly faces, the gilded spoon speaks through the pure effect of its materials. It suits families who prefer a subtle aesthetic — gold and silver instead of bright colors.
The gift box with a silk ribbon protects the spoon and makes it ready for gifting immediately. It emphasizes the festive character of the gift.
Occasions and Target Groups
Birth: A gender-neutral spoon with universal symbolism — stars are suitable for boys and girls alike. The gilding gives the gift a festive frame without appearing gender-specific.
Christening: As an engraved keepsake with name and date. The star as a symbol for the guiding star the child should have on their life's journey. The elegant gilding is particularly well suited to the festive character of a christening ceremony.
First Birthday: A gift that goes beyond toys — something that lasts, grows with the child, and still looks beautiful even as an adult.
For godparents, who are looking for an elegant, gender-neutral gift with symbolic power — the stars radiate hope and confidence without being kitschy.
For grandparents, who want to give their grandchild a "lucky star" — in the most durable form: gilded sterling silver.
For parents, who prefer a gender-neutral motif and are looking for a more elegant alternative to the colorful enamel spoons.
Particularly suitable if the child's gender is not yet known — for example, at a baby shower before birth. Stars in gold on silver are universal and timeless.
Engraving Service and SilberVerse Card
The back of the stem offers a smooth surface for a personal engraving — name, date, or a short dedication. The engraving is professionally and permanently applied. Contact us via our engraving service — we will advise you on placement, font, and text length.
For a gilded spoon, we recommend engraving on the back of the stem — there, the silver is polished and without gilding, which allows for a clean and legible engraving. The combination of gilded stars on the front and personal engraving on the back makes the spoon a unique keepsake.
SilberVerse Card: Upon request, we can design an individual SilberVerse card in photo format (10×15 cm) — suitable for the occasion, the recipient, and with your personal message. Each card is unique. Simply state your wish when ordering, and we will contact you to coordinate the details. Currently free of charge — can be ordered with or without engraving.
Material and Care
The spoon is made of solid 925 sterling silver — food-safe, nickel-free, and retains its value for generations. The gilding is permanently applied to the silver and is resistant to normal use. Since there is no enamel, there is no risk of color chipping — the surface is consistently metallic.
Clean the spoon by hand with warm water and mild dish soap. Dry with a soft cotton cloth. Do not treat the gilding with abrasive cleaners or aggressive cleaning agents. Do not use silver dip cleaner — it could attack the gilding. If necessary, carefully refresh the silver surfaces with a silver polishing cloth, avoiding the gilded stars. Not dishwasher safe. The supplied gift box is suitable for storage.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Children's Spoon with Gilded Star Pattern
What distinguishes this spoon from the enamel star spoons?

Yes. Gilded stars on silver are a completely gender-neutral motif — suitable for boys and girls. The gold-silver color combination is universal and timeless.
