Material and Craftsmanship
The acrylic ring is pearlescent white, food-safe, and soft enough for teething babies. A small silver frog in a sitting position hangs from the ring — with its front paws together, belly slightly rounded, and eyes clearly defined. Highly polished 925 sterling silver, hallmarked, deliberately kept lightweight. Made by the Italian silver manufacturer Zaramella Argenti.
Use and Development
In the first months, the rattle serves as a grasping and hearing object, from around three months in the grasping phase. Later, between approximately six and ten months, the acrylic ring becomes a practical teether during the teething phase. The frog as a motif is a classic symbol of good luck: In many European fairy tales — from the Frog Prince to folk tales — it represents transformation and new beginnings. As a baby motif, it is charming without being childish, and suits the great transformation a newborn experiences in its first months of life.
Occasions and Target Groups
Ideal as a birth gift, where function (teether) and symbolism (frog as a good luck charm) are to be combined. Equally suitable as a christening gift, godchild gift, or as a loving gesture from grandparents to their grandchild. This piece is also a beautiful, gender-neutral choice for a baby shower.
Engraving and SilberVerse Card
Engraving is not possible on this model — the frog charm is small and three-dimensionally shaped, and the acrylic ring cannot be inscribed. As a personal alternative, we offer a free, digitally designed SilberVerse card in photo format 15 × 10 cm (landscape) — individually tailored to the occasion, recipient, and sender.
Care
Clean the silver with a soft cloth and mild dish soap, then dry immediately. Do not immerse the acrylic ring in silver dips — plastic does not tolerate aggressive polishing solutions; lukewarm water with a microfiber cloth is sufficient here. Store dry in the original gift box.
