The floral pattern of the Astra Classic line is engraved by hand into the handle and bowl and filled with niello — a dark silver alloy that is fused into the engraved indentations. This creates a subtle contrast between the warm gold and the intricate patterns. The piece is crafted by SevChern, a Russian silversmith from Veliky Ustyug that continues the local niello tradition.
