Silver Baby Rattle 925 Guardian Angel — Textured Handle

On the round disc of this baby rattle in 925 sterling silver sits a little angel: a halo above the strands of hair, wings on both sides, hands folded, a cloud beneath. A handle with lengthways grooves leads down from the disc, and a bow relief sits at the end of the handle. The rattle comes from ArgentA, a silver manufactory in Russia.

Silver Angel Baby Rattle: the Relief on the Round Disc

The relief fills the flat disc: you can make out the strands of hair, the individual feathers of the wings and the folded hands. A small loop hangs where the disc meets the handle. The product video shows how big the rattle looks in a hand and what the relief looks like up close: a hand holds the rattle and turns it so that both sides of the disc can be seen.

Silver Rattle with a Guardian Angel: Christening, Birth and the Godchild

The halo and folded hands give the angel a calm, praying posture. That suits a christening, and as a guardian angel for the newborn it suits a birth just as well.

If you are a godfather or godmother wondering what to give for a christening, this guardian angel rattle for the godchild is a gift that makes the occasion visible. For a birth, it comes from parents, grandparents or friends who would like to give the child a guardian angel motif.

Silver Angel Handle Rattle: Dimensions and Care

The rattle is approx. 14 cm long, approx. 4.5 cm wide and weighs approx. 27 g; because every piece of silver weighs slightly differently, the weight can vary a little. A soft cloth with lukewarm water and a drop of mild dish soap is enough for cleaning. If the silver tarnishes over time, a silver polishing cloth brings the shine back; the rattle does not belong in the dishwasher.

Instead of Engraving: the SilberVerse Card

The grooved handle has no free surface, so engraving is not possible on this rattle. For names and wishes there is the SilberVerse card. It costs nothing and is added on request: a short verse of three or four lines, written for the child and the occasion, printed on photo paper, 15 × 10 cm, landscape format, in the standard frame in silver, white or black and, if you wish, in the language of your choice. How it works is explained on the page SilberVerse. If you would like the name directly on the silver, the angel rattle with an engraving panel is the right one: its handle has a smooth panel for a name, date or initials.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Guardian Angel Rattle

What does the angel motif mean at a christening?
As a guardian angel, it stands for the wish for protection and blessing and is one of the Christian christening motifs. That is an interpretation, not a promise. More angel motifs can be found in the angel collection.

Is the disc the same on both sides?
Yes, the disc shows the same angel on the cloud at the front and at the back.

Angel rattle: handle or acrylic ring?
With the handle rattle you hold the handle; with the angel rattle on a pearl-white acrylic ring the baby holds the ring. For hanging, the angel is also available as a cradle medal. You can find all shapes in our silver baby rattles.

Does the rattle come already packaged?
A fine gift box is part of the delivery, so the rattle is ready to give. The design of the box may differ from the photo.

What do you give for a christening if it should be something personal?
Where engraving is not possible, the SilberVerse card carries the name along. Ideas for silver christening gifts are collected in the guide with 30 christening gift ideas.

Does the guardian angel rattle bear a fineness stamp (hallmark)?
The hallmark is there: the guardian angel rattle is hallmarked. The maker's certificate label is attached to the piece. We're happy to send you photos in advance.
