Christening spoon 925 silver teddy bear — engravable

At the end of the handle of this sterling silver 925 birth spoon sits a small teddy bear right next to a clock face, framed by clouds that trail down the handle. The wide, oval bowl remains perfectly polished — a spoon that matches the sitting teddy and can be engraved at the same time.

Material and craftsmanship

Polished to a mirror finish, the oval bowl is designed for daily use at the dining table. At the top of the handle sits a round clock face with the numbers 12, 3, 6, and 9; right next to it is a small teddy bear, and below that, several cloud shapes extend along the handle. The Italian manufacturer Zaramella produces this spoon under the model name "Baby Spoon – Mod. Bear".

Usage

As a teaspoon with a wide bowl, the piece is also suitable as a dessert or porridge spoon and will accompany the first feedings just as well as it does at the table later on. Given for a birth, the combination of clock, bear, and clouds represents the day it all begins; for a christening, it becomes a spoon with personal significance.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The child's name and date of birth can be engraved on the back of the handle. To do this, simply add the flat-rate engraving service to your shopping cart, and we will coordinate the exact wording with you afterward. On request, you also get a free SilberVerse card: the verse has 3–4 lines, picks up the occasion and name, and comes in the language you choose. You receive the 15 × 10 cm photo card in a standard frame, available in white, black or silver. You can find out how it works on the About SilberVerse page.

The matching teddy for the spoon

This spoon belongs to the Sitting Teddy family and complements the Sitting Teddy baby rattle, smooth handle, engravable particularly well — both pieces can be engraved and gifted together. Those who prefer a decorated bear will find it in the Sitting Teddy baby rattle, decorated handle. The Teddy Silhouette series also features its own curved baby spoon in the same motif circle. Together with the smooth-handled rattle, this spoon is included in the Personal Sitting Teddy Christening Set.

Care

After eating, it is best to wash the spoon by hand immediately; a drop of dish soap in warm water is sufficient. Remove any initial patina with gentle pressure and a silver polishing cloth, being especially careful over the engraving. The piece is not dishwasher safe.
