Material and workmanship

At the tip of the handle sits a clock face with the numbers 12, 3, 6, and 9, framed by baroque scrollwork — the hands are added via engraving. In the middle section of the handle, a detailed locomotive with clouds of steam travels along the silver stem. The rectangular engraving panels labeled "gr." and "cm." are integrated into the train formation as carriages — the fields are the carriages themselves.
