Silver Baby Rattle 925 Train — Ball Head with Engraving Panels

A train made up of a locomotive and carriages runs along a silver ball in relief, and below it lies a decorated handle with two engraving panels on one side, recommended for name and date or occasion. The baby rattle is made of 925 sterling silver, manufactured by Zaramella Argenti in Italy.

Silver Train Baby Rattle: Locomotive and Carriages on the Ball

The train is set onto the ball as a relief: a locomotive with carriages, on four wheels, surrounded by a finely dotted background. The ball carries the picture the same on both sides, as if two halves with the same motif had been joined together. The train can therefore be seen from either side, whichever way you hold the rattle.

Added to this is a handle with scrolls and foliage, on one side of which two smooth panels remain free. A small eyelet hangs below the ball. It weighs approx. 25 g at a length of approx. 12 cm, with slight differences from piece to piece.

The train is regarded as an image of being on the move, of travelling and setting off, and if you are looking for a silver railway rattle, you will find the motif here in relief. That suits a beginning in life without tying the gift to boys: it can be given to girls and boys alike and suits families who want to emphasise the start.

Train Rattle with Engraving: One Panel for the Name, One for the Date

There are two separate engraving panels on one side of the handle. We recommend two engravings: the first name goes in one, the date or the occasion in the other. The panels are small, and the entries should be too: a first name, a date or initials, nothing more. Spaces do not count as characters and are not charged. What fits in each individual case is something we clarify against your wording.

You order the engraving and the rattle in one step: both into the cart, the engraving service fee included. We then settle the wording with you; no approval is needed beforehand. If the engraving cannot be done, we transfer the fee back to you. With engraving, your parcel takes 1 to 3 working days longer. Goods with engraving cannot be withdrawn from. So a last look at the spelling is worthwhile.

A SilberVerse card can be ordered to go with the train, free of charge and only on request. Your verse is created with the help of AI: you give the name and the occasion, and the result is three to four lines, in German or another language. The card is a photo in 15 × 10 cm landscape format, framed in the standard frame in silver, white or black.

Train or Car: Two Vehicles, Two Designs

The train sits on a ball with a handle and can be engraved. The car is a ring rattle in 925 silver, a three-dimensional silver car that cannot be engraved. If you are giving a gift to a pair of siblings, the ball shape also offers the elephant with the same two engraving panels: the same shape, a different motif, a pair that belongs together.

For a Birth and a Christening, for Parents and Godparents

Parents can have the date of birth entered, godparents the date of the christening. If you are looking for a gift for a little vehicle fan, also take a look at the baby gifts; the rattle itself is meant for girls and boys alike. For a baby shower, you simply bring it along unengraved.

Keeping the Relief and Handle Clean

Dust collects under the wheels and between the scrolls, and a soft brush loosens it. Afterwards a soft cloth polishes, and you treat tarnished silver with a silver polishing cloth. Lukewarm water and a mild washing-up liquid are enough for washing; the dishwasher is not suitable. With small children, someone always stays close by.

Questions and Answers about the Train Rattle

Does the train run on both sides of the ball?
Yes, the relief is repeated in the same way on the other side, as with two halves of a ball with the same picture.

What goes into the two engraving panels?
We recommend two engravings, a short first name and the date or the occasion, each in its own panel on one side of the handle; initials are also possible. Spaces do not count as characters and are not charged. You put the engraving service fee into the cart with the rattle.

Is the train rattle only for boys?
No, it is meant for girls and boys. The train stands for setting off and travelling, and that applies to every child.

Is the motif also available as a car, and what is the difference?
The car is a ring rattle without engraving. If you want to read both on silver, the name and the date, stay with the train; more ideas can be found among the gifts for a birth.

What can I expect with shipping?
Within Germany, delivery is free of shipping costs, after 3 to 5 working days, with engraving 1 to 3 working days later. In the parcel, the rattle lies in a fine gift box, whose look turns out differently now and then. Gift wrapping is possible on request.

Is the train rattle with ball head hallmarked?
The train rattle with ball head bears a fineness stamp (hallmark); the silver is hallmarked. We're happy to send you photos in advance — just write to us. The maker's certificate card is included.
