Personalized christening set 925 silver Stars and Moon — rattle + spoon, both engravable

This two-piece christening set made of 925 silver is specially assembled by SilberKosmos from two individual items from the Italian manufacturer Zaramella: a rattle with a handle featuring a star and crescent moon, and a baby spoon that mirrors the same image as a small relief at the end of the handle. The difference compared to the other sets in the series: both pieces in this pair can be engraved.

Material and craftsmanship

The rattle head features a five-pointed star, a crescent moon, and three small stars in the field, along with small circular perforations; an eyelet is located where it transitions to the smooth handle. The rattle measures approx. 12 cm and weighs approx. 18 g. At the end of the spoon handle, there is a delicate, raised depiction of a star, crescent moon, and tiny stars, while the oval bowl remains plain. The spoon also measures approx. 12 cm and weighs approx. 32 g — approx. 50 g in total, both pieces made of polished 925 sterling silver, with no enamel or gold plating.

Occasions and target groups

As a christening set, this combination is especially intended for godparents and grandparents. The star and crescent moon image represents the quiet, guiding aspect of the night — a motif that is equally well-suited to the first weeks after birth. The motif carries no gender coding and is therefore just as appropriate for the christening of a girl as it is for a boy.

Care

It is best to clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth. For patina, a silver polishing cloth is helpful. The set is not dishwasher safe.
