The baptism spoon is not just small, it is built to be tactile. Three gentle indentations are incorporated into the bowl to aid swallowing when starting solid foods — the tongue finds support on the spoon, making the transition from bottle to solid food smoother. Both pieces are made of 925 sterling silver, the spoon with fine gilding on the angel and colored enamel accents on the handle. Care is simple if you follow a few points:

• Clean by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, use a soft cloth — no dishwasher, no harsh sponges, no aggressive cleaners (enamel can become dull otherwise).
• Wipe dry after use — delays the natural tarnishing of silver.

What age is the set suitable for?
The baptism spoon is designed as a weaning spoon — many parents start introducing solid foods between 4 and 6 months; we recommend using it from 6 months onwards, when the baby can sit upright and the swallowing reflex is secure. The set is often given as a baptism gift and is ready for use when the baby is ready. The cup comes into play a little later, as soon as the first attempts at drinking from a glass or cup begin.

What does "tactile" mean for the DoDo spoon?
Three small indentations in the spoon bowl provide the baby's tongue with points of reference for swallowing — the transition from sucking to swallowing becomes smoother. Additionally, the handle has a bubble relief that provides a pleasant gripping sensation in small hands. "Tactile" simply means: silver that is more than just smooth to the touch.

Is it true that silver has antibacterial properties?
925 sterling silver releases fine silver ions that have an antibacterial effect — a property that has been valued in many cultures for centuries in baby spoons, drinking vessels, and water pendants.
