Material and craftsmanship

The jug is crafted from solid 925 sterling silver, with a satin-finished and matte exterior. The floral niello ornament of the Floralis line runs around the bulbous body: blossoms, tendrils, and leaves, fused deep black into the silver. Niello is not a paint, but a black metal alloy that is applied by hand into engraved recesses, fired, and polished – a chemical bond with the base metal, neither a lacquer nor a coating. What you see on this jug today will look exactly the same in thirty years. The classic bulbous shape with its curved spout and arched handle feels stable in the hand and instantly adds presence to the table. The jug originates from the SevChern manufactory in Veliky Ustyug and is hallmarked.

Usage and occasions

220 ml is enough for milk or cream for four to six people without needing a refill. The jug complements the Floralis collection teapot (550 ml), coffee pot (800 ml), as well as the matching cups and the complete tea set – upon request, we can assemble the collection for any desired number of people, from two to six or more. Individual pieces can be reordered at any time. As a gift, the jug stands on its own: a complete piece of silverware in a gift case, ideal for a wedding as the first building block of a silver service, for a milestone birthday, or for anyone wishing to style their table with genuine silver.

Care

Hand wash with lukewarm water and a mild dish soap. No dishwasher, no silver dip. The niello ornament is permanently fused and withstands normal cleaning without damage. The matte surface can be refreshed with a soft silver polishing cloth. Store in the gift case.
