Material and craftsmanship

All 24 pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and feature the relief design with niello pattern on the upper handle area; on the dinner knives, it covers the entire decorated surface. Niello is an ancient refinement technique: a black inlay is fused into fine, pre-engraved grooves, then sanded flat and polished — like ink in silver — not a lacquer that could peel off. The raised structure of the relief and the dark niello line complement each other: one gives the surface depth, while the other outlines the contour. Over time and with regular polishing, this contrast deepens rather than fading. The surface is smooth, easy to clean, and suitable for the dining table.

Use and occasions

A complete 24-piece cutlery set for six people is ideal for occasions where a full table needs to be equipped or supplemented. As a wedding gift, it directly meets the needs of a new household; as a gift for a silver anniversary or a milestone birthday, it is a thoughtful acquisition for your own table. A set of this size is also a long-term investment as a gift for children or grandchildren setting up their first home. For Christmas or large family celebrations, the set is readily available in its case and quick to set out.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Personal engraving is possible for this set upon review, for example, initials or a date on the handle. Since the available engraving area varies depending on the piece, we will discuss this with you on an individual basis. Upon request, we can also include a personalized SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm photo format — individually designed, suited to the occasion, and free of charge. This applies even without an engraving order.

Care

Clean the set exclusively by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. The dishwasher is unsuitable, as aggressive detergents and high temperatures can damage the niello inlay and the polished relief surface. Store the cutlery in the included case to protect it from humidity and dust. If the silver tarnishes over time, a special silver polishing cloth will help restore its original luster.
