Virgo zodiac dessert cutlery: sitting figure, golden symbol
The sitting female figure is hand-engraved, gold-plated, and framed by a golden border. The fork, fully gold-plated, carries the Virgo symbol on a shield below the tines. Both handles end in a flower with niello on a silver background.
Virgo: Earth sign at the beginning of autumn
The sign ranges from August 24 to September 23; its element is Earth. Tradition associates Virgo with the goddess of the harvest; its brightest star is named Spica, Latin for "ear of grain".
September birthday, hostess, Christmas table
A birthday in early autumn calls for cake and coffee. For Christmas, choose a piece that will be used at the table, and for hosts, it is a thoughtful gift related to the person.
Niello in the Veliky Ustyug style and care
SevChern manufactures in Veliky Ustyug, where niello is a deeply rooted technique: the dark mass is set into the engravings, not on top of them. Please wash by hand only.
Frequently asked questions about the Virgo dessert cutlery
What is the zodiac sign for September 11th?
Virgo, as the sign runs from August 24 to September 23.
Is there an option for engraving?
No. The spoon bowl, fork shield, and handle flowers are already occupied, and the stem is too narrow. If you wish to include a message, we can write a complimentary SilberVerse card with a dedication.
Can the spoon or fork be purchased individually?
Yes: we also stock the Virgo dessert spoon and Virgo dessert fork individually.
How do I clean niello silver with gold plating?
Use lukewarm water and a soft cloth, then dry immediately. Dishwashers and silver baths are prohibited; more details can be found in our niello guide.
What should I give a Virgo for Christmas?
A piece that bears their sign and can be used daily, such as this cutlery. Further ideas can be found among our silver Christmas gifts.
