Taurus Zodiac Dessert Cutlery: Spoon Image and Fork Crest
The bull with its lowered head is hand-engraved into the bowl and gold-plated. The fork is fully gold-plated; its crest below the tines shows the Taurus symbol. Both handle ends feature the same niello blossom on silver.
The Bull: Earth Sign in May
The Taurus sign applies from April 21st to May 20th; its element is Earth. Greek tradition associates the bull with Zeus, who took the form of a bull to carry Europa across the sea.
May Birthdays, Festive Tables, Anniversaries
In May, the coffee table is often set in the garden, and silver with gold suits it perfectly. For a celebration, it is a gift with a personal connection, and as an anniversary gift, it outlasts the day itself.
Gold, Silver, and Niello: Origin and Care
The cutlery is crafted by SevChern in Veliky Ustyug. There, the lines are engraved and the dark niello is melted into the fire until it becomes part of the silver. Please wash by hand.
Questions and Answers about the Taurus Cutlery
What is the zodiac sign for May 11th?
Taurus. The sign runs from April 21st to May 20th.
Can a name or date be engraved?
Unfortunately not: The image fills the bowl, the symbol fills the fork, and there is no space on the handle. Instead, we can write a SilberVerse card with a dedication for you, free of charge.
Can I buy just the spoon or just the fork?
Yes, you can: Taurus dessert spoon and Taurus dessert fork are available individually in the shop.
What should I keep in mind regarding the gold-plating and niello?
Hand wash only and dry immediately; no dishwasher, no silver dip. Background information can be found in our guide to the niello technique.
Is this cutlery suitable for a coffee table with several guests?
Yes: Spoon for the cake, fork to go with it, all in a gift box. You can find more silver for the table in our 925 sterling silver cutlery sets.
