What makes this Gemini zodiac set special
The teaspoon belongs with the cup, the dessert spoon and fork with the cake. Both spoons feature the same gold-plated design in the bowl: two figures with a flower branch, scaled smaller on the teaspoon. On the fork, the Gemini symbol sits on a shield below the tines. Gold border, gold-plated handles, niello flower on the handle.
The Gemini: Air sign at the start of summer
Gemini is one of the air signs and ranges from May 21 to June 21. In Greek mythology, Castor and Pollux are the twins after whom the two brightest stars in the constellation are named.
When to give the Gemini set
A June birthday is the obvious occasion, as a Christmas gift the set feels personal. It will endure for an anniversary, and further pieces of the same sign can be added later.
How the niello is created
Niello has been practiced in Veliky Ustyug since 1683. At SevChern, the ornaments are engraved by hand and the dark inlay is fused in.
Frequently asked questions about the Gemini set
Which zodiac sign does June 15 fall under?
Gemini; their time is from May 21 to June 21.
Do both spoons in the Gemini set show the same sign?
Both bear the same gold-plated image (two figures with a flower branch); only the size distinguishes the two.
Can the Gemini spoon, fork, and teaspoon also be ordered individually?
Yes. The Gemini dessert cutlery two-piece set is available, as well as the dessert spoon, dessert fork, and teaspoon individually.
Where would there be space for an engraving on the Gemini dessert spoon, fork, and teaspoon?
Nowhere: the image, symbol, and niello fill the pieces, and the handles are too narrow. Your message can be included on the free SilberVerse card.
How do I clean the Gemini set after having coffee?
Rinse by hand and dry immediately with a soft cloth; dishwashers and silver dips are strictly forbidden. More about the technique in the article on niello.
