Material and Craftsmanship

The Rosata Gourmet Set intentionally combines two surface finishes in one composition. The coffee cezve comes in pure engraving: the bulbous amphora silhouette with a blossoming rosette, the warm beech wood handle, no niello — this clarity keeps the cezve timeless and easy to combine. At the base sits a narrow foot ring, ensuring stability on the stove and tray. The mocha cup, on the other hand, features niello: an acanthus band entwines the silver cup holder in a classic black-silver contrast, with a white porcelain insert inside that simplifies cleaning. The coffee spoon features a niello acanthus medallion on the curved handle head, while the stirring spoon has a niello detail in a rectangular frame. Niello is not a coating, but a black inlay that is melted into the engraved lines, ground flat, and polished — like ink in silver — it does not fade and gains contrast when polished.

Care

Each part has its own requirements. The coffee cezve with pure engraving can tarnish like regular silver — clean it with a soft silver polishing cloth. The cup and spoons with niello decoration do not tarnish; the niello is a fused inlay, not a lacquer, and the contrasts even deepen with polishing. Simply clean the cup's porcelain insert with warm water and mild dish soap. Always keep the cezve's beech wood handle dry; do not soak it. For all silver parts, the following applies: hand wash only, no dishwasher, no ultrasonic bath.

How many cups does the 200 ml coffee cezve serve?
The cezve holds approx. 200 ml of liquid. With a filling quantity of approx. 60–70 ml per Turkish mocha cup, this yields 1 to 2 portions.

Why does the cezve lack niello, while the cup and spoons feature it?
This is a deliberate design choice for the Rosata line. The cezve in pure engraving remains timelessly neutral and easy to combine, while the niello accessories bring contrast and ornamentation to the set without dominating the cezve.

Which stove types can I use the silver coffee cezve on?
The cezve is suitable for gas, ceramic hobs, and sand heaters. The flame should never be wider than the base of the cezve so that the silver base heats evenly. Induction stoves are not suitable, as silver is not a ferromagnetic material.
