Material and workmanship

The Italian tulip shape is the proven basic design of this baby cup line: slightly narrower at the bottom, gently opening at the top, ergonomic for small hands and stable when standing. The two loop handles are bent from a single piece of silver and attached to the left and right, allowing a toddler to securely grip the cup with both hands. Weighing around 120 grams, it feels pleasant in the hand — solid, but not too heavy for little fingers. Responsible for this pure design language without enamel or gold plating is ZARAMELLA from Italy, specialists in baby and children's silver.

The elephant as a motif

The elephant relief sits freely in the center on the front, intentionally designed in a childlike manner with soft contours, suggested eyes, and a downward-pointing trunk — significantly smaller and more understated than a figurative bear, but just as distinctive. In Europe, the elephant stands for strength, constancy, and a long memory, a fitting connection to a keepsake intended to be preserved for generations. In Asian symbolism, it is also considered a lucky charm and a protective animal. For a christening or birth gift, the motif thus carries an open, positive message without any religious or national designation.

Occasions and target groups

Key occasions are christenings, births, and first birthdays; it is also popular for the first tooth, a name day, or as a lucky gift for other early milestones. The elephant motif is gender-neutral and equally suitable for girls and boys — no color code, no gender-specific elements. Godparents, grandparents, and close friends of the family particularly like to choose this cup when they want to give a silver piece with positive symbolism and a calm aesthetic.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The smooth back is suitable for an engraving — a name and baptismal date are standard, or alternatively a monogram, date of birth, or a short baptismal blessing. The engraving is carried out following personal consultation; please contact us briefly before ordering so that we can clarify placement, font, and text length. On request, we will also include our SilberVerse card with your order: a digitally personalized card in 15 × 10 cm photo format, tailored to the occasion and the recipient, free of charge and unique every time.

Care

925 sterling silver is durable. After use, rinse with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, then dry with a soft cloth. For tarnished areas, use a silver polishing cloth without applying pressure — the elephant relief benefits from gentle, circular polishing; no abrasive cleaners. Not dishwasher safe, no silver dips, no aggressive cleaning agents. For storage, use the included gift box or a velvet pouch to minimize tarnishing and preserve the high polish for years.
