Description

Some gifts only gain their meaning through what you put into them yourself. The "The Master" tea glass holder set features a classic Podstakannik made of 925 sterling silver with an oval escutcheon in the center, framed by a laurel wreath and bow – deliberately left blank, ready for your engraving. Also included are a delicate "Imperator" teaspoon with its own engraving surface and a classic checkered crystal glass, all united in a velvet-lined premium case.

At a glance

  • Set contents: Podstakannik + checkered crystal glass + "Imperator" teaspoon – 3 pieces

  • Total silver weight: approx. 179 g (holder approx. 156 g, spoon approx. 23 g)
  • Holder dimensions: height approx. 95 mm, diameter approx. 68 mm
  • Spoon dimensions: length approx. 130 mm
  • "Tschajny" crystal glass: approx. 200 ml, approx. 65 × 100 mm, checkered cut
  • Engraving field holder: oval medallion, approx. 30 × 22 mm
  • Case dimensions: approx. 132 × 132 × 165 mm, velvet-lined, navy blue

Material and workmanship

The "The Master" Podstakannik features an open columnar structure reminiscent of ancient colonnades, instead of a high-relief image. In the center is a large oval medallion, framed by a laurel wreath with a bow – the classic Empire motif for appreciation and honor. Four filigree acanthus feet support the body, the stirrup handle is adorned with laurel leaf decoration and a pearl rim, and acanthus volutes are seated between the columns. The entire silver is highly polished and deliberately left unblackened, so that light falls unbroken over the form and engraving. The "Imperator" teaspoon has a classical handle with an openwork oval handle crown and laurel leaf border – this handle crown also offers a second, smaller engraving field. The bowl is highly polished. The "Tschajny" checkered crystal glass with a cut geometric pattern is available as a replaceable consumable part if required. We also offer the "The Master" holder as a solo version without glass, spoon, and case, practical for your own glass or a larger tableware set.

Usage and occasions

The empty medallion makes this set a suitable gift when the recipient themselves should be the focus – not a predetermined motif, but their own initials, coat of arms, or date. It is suitable as a business gift for a director, board member, or long-standing employee for an anniversary, as a father's or grandfather's gift with a family monogram, as a gift for confirmation or graduation with an engraved date, as a wedding gift for the groom with initials and wedding date, as well as for a milestone birthday, retirement, or promotion. The medallion also provides the perfect stage for patriotic and institutional occasions – such as the coat of arms of a city, a student fraternity, or a church district. Engraving and SilberVerse card

The oval medallion on the holder measures approx. 30 × 22 mm and is the main stage for your engraving: initials in classic script or as an intertwined monogram, a family crest or company logo as a line drawing, a date or a short motto of a maximum of three to four words. A combination of initials and date is also possible. Very fine photorealism is not practical on this surface – line drawings work best. The openwork handle crown of the "Imperator" spoon offers a second, smaller engraving field, ideal for a single initial or a date. Hand-engraving by a silversmith best suits the classical style; for a beautiful execution, you should allow about one to two weeks' lead time. With every engraving, we can optionally include a SilberVerse card in the format 15 × 10 cm – digitally designed, with a personal dedication, currently at no extra charge.

Care

The highly polished 925 silver is processed without further refinement – there is no blackening in the recesses that could be affected by an engraving. Clean the holder and spoon only by hand with warm water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth – no dishwasher, no hard sponges or abrasives. If it tarnishes slightly, a soft silver polishing cloth without abrasives will restore the mirror shine in seconds. Wipe dry after use and store in the case, which protects against air contact and delays tarnishing. The checkered glass is dishwasher safe on a short, gentle cycle, but by hand it remains gentler and clearer.

Frequently asked questions

Is engraving included?
No, engraving is a separate service. We are happy to connect you with a silversmith – duration and cost depend on complexity, font, and crest detail.

Does the set have blackening like other sets in the line?
No. "The Master" is highly polished 925 sterling silver without blackening – precisely what makes it particularly suitable for engraving, as no patina layer in the recesses can be damaged.

How big is the drinking glass?
The checkered crystal glass holds approx. 200 ml, making it closer to the traditional Russian Stakan measure than many other sets in our line, which feature 250 ml glasses.
