Materials and craftsmanship

Instead of a high-relief image, the “The Master” podstakannik features an open column structure reminiscent of ancient colonnades. At its center is a large oval medallion framed by a laurel wreath and ribbon—the classic Empire motif of recognition and honor. Four delicate acanthus feet support the body, while the loop handle is decorated with laurel leaves and a beaded edge; acanthus scrolls sit between the columns. The entire piece is finished in high-gloss polished silver and deliberately left without oxidized detailing, allowing the light to fall uninterrupted across its form and engraving. The “Imperator” teaspoon has a neoclassical handle with an openwork oval finial and a laurel-leaf border—the finial also provides a second, smaller engraving area. The bowl is high-gloss polished. The “Tschajny” diamond-cut crystal glass, with its geometric cut pattern, can be replaced as a consumable part when needed. We also offer the “The Master” holder on its own, without the glass, teaspoon, or case—practical if you have your own glass or a larger tableware service.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The oval medallion on the holder measures approx. 30 × 22 mm and is the main area for your engraving: initials in classic script or as an interlaced monogram, a family crest or company logo as a line drawing, a date, or a short motto of no more than three or four words. A combination of initials and a date is also possible. Very fine photorealistic engraving is not practical on this surface—line drawings work best. The openwork finial of the “Imperator” teaspoon provides a second, smaller engraving area, ideal for a single initial or a date. Hand engraving with a burin by a silversmith is the best fit for the neoclassical style; allow about one to two weeks’ lead time for a beautiful result. Care

The high-gloss polished 925 silver has no additional finish—there is no oxidized detailing in the recesses that could be affected by engraving. Clean the holder and teaspoon by hand only, using warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth—no dishwasher, abrasive sponges, or scouring powder. If slight tarnishing occurs, a soft silver polishing cloth without abrasive particles will restore the mirror shine in seconds. Wipe dry after use and store in the case to protect it from exposure to air and delay tarnishing. The diamond-cut glass is dishwasher-safe on a short, gentle cycle, though handwashing is gentler and keeps it clearer.

How large is the drinking glass?
The diamond-cut crystal glass holds approx. 200 ml, making it closer to the traditional Russian stakan size than some other sets in our collection, which come with 250 ml glasses.
