At a christening, godparents traditionally give a cup, often with a name and date. The spoon completes it for the first meals. Both pieces carry a star in yellow and orange, so you recognise them on the table straight away as a pair.

A yellow star with a crown

On the cup the star sits at the front, applied as an appliqué. Yellow enamel fills it, a crown in silver shows within it, and a small red star adds a dash of colour. On the bowl of the spoon the star is in orange, the gold-plated crown sits above it, and small stars run down the handle.

We then agree the final details together. If a text is not technically feasible, you get the flat fee refunded.

How much fits on the cup and spoon?
Up to 20 characters fit on the cup, and the flat fee covers that. Spaces do not count. The same limit of 20 characters applies to the back of the spoon handle.

Is the star motif also available without yellow enamel?
Yes. We carry a version with a silver star and a gold-plated crown as the set with gold-plated stars.

Can I also order the cup or spoon separately?

How do I care for the enamel and gold plating?
Care for the enamel and gold plating just like the silver itself: rinse briefly in lukewarm water and pat dry with something soft. The dishwasher is off limits for this set.
