The two rings share a continuous floral ornament in niello technique — the dark silver alloy lies in the engraved lines, tracing the pattern in fine contrast to the highly polished silver. A narrow gilded rim frames the pattern at the top and bottom, giving each ring a warm, glowing accent. The accompanying fabric napkins feature the same floral motif as gold embroidery, so that the ring and napkin form a visual pair. Niello is a millennia-old technique in which a dark metal alloy is melted into finely engraved silver lines — a chemical-physical bond with the silver, not a lacquer or paint.
