Material and workmanship

The body rests on a profiled round base and features two curved handles that make it easy to hold and provide balance to the silhouette. It is topped by a curved domed lid with a small teardrop finial — a classic goblet shape that is immediately recognizable in any silver table arrangement. A niello band featuring a floral rosette and fine vines runs around the body: a dark metal inlay that is inserted into engraved depressions and bonds permanently with the silver.
