Tea service for 2 people 925 silver with niello

Nine pieces made of solid 925 silver featuring the same floral niello ornament create a perfectly set silver table for two: two cups, two saucers, two teaspoons, a sugar bowl, sugar tongs, and a lemon fork. What is intentionally missing is the pot — because here, you decide for yourself. The collection is a modular system that you assemble to your own taste.

Material and craftsmanship

All nine pieces feature the same floral niello pattern in the botanical style of the Veliky Ustyug school: blossoms, vines, and leaves. The cup bears the ornament on its outer wall, the sugar bowl on its body, the spoon on its handle — the ornamental repertoire, the technique, and the origin are identical everywhere. Niello is not printing ink, enamel, or a coating, but a black metal alloy that is fused into engraved depressions and chemically bonded to the silver. What is on this service today will look exactly the same in thirty years. The ornament requires no special care, only the silver surrounding it.

Usage and occasions

The 9-piece set is a starting point and shows what a fully set silver table for two looks like. The pot is intentionally not in the set because you are meant to choose: The tea pot SW10179 with 450 ml is wide and stocky, in the classic Russian tea shape. The coffee pot SW10182 with 500 ml is slim and tall, in the European coffee tradition. Both feature the same ornament as the service; you can order one or both. The milk jug SW10191 with 120 ml can also be added. As a wedding gift, anniversary gift, or VIP gift, a complete silver service is a statement for decades: The couple will use it, show it to guests, and pass it on — gaining character with every use. For collectors of Russian tableware, this set combines all features: SevChern, hand-engraved niello, solid silver.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

The sugar bowl and the cups offer space on their bases for personal engravings — a date, initials, a sentence. Please specify your engraving request when ordering. Upon request, we will include a SilberVerse card in 15 × 10 cm landscape photo format: individually designed, suitable for the occasion, free of charge.

Care

Hand wash with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, no dishwasher. The niello ornament is permanently fused; normal cleaning will not harm it — please avoid scouring agents and silver dip baths. The matte silver surface can be refreshed with a soft silver polishing cloth. Store in the gift case.

Frequently asked questions

Is the pot included in the set?
