Then these lines are filled with an alloy of silver, copper, lead, and sulfur — melted in liquid, cooled, polished. The alloy chemically bonds with the silver. SevChern is a workshop in Veliky Ustyug, a city in Northern Russia known for its niello silversmiths since the 17th century. Not a big brand name, but a line of craftsmanship that spans centuries.
