Spoon with a boy: cap, little horse, heart

The boy wears a bobble hat and a buttoned jacket. In front of him he pulls a rocking horse. Below, a heart rises in relief.

All the recesses are blackened. This makes the figures stand out clearly. It is made this way on purpose. The spoon comes from ArgentA and is made of 925 silver, without enamel and without gilding.

Rattle with teddy: silver with a bow relief

A teddy sits on the handle, modelled in relief at the front. A small loop dangles from its side. Grooves run along the handle, and at the end sits a bow relief. The rattle comes from the house of Zaramella and stays in bright silver.

Rocking horse and heart: images from the nursery

The rocking horse is a nursery classic. The heart below stands for affection.

Engraving of up to 20 characters on smooth silver

The back of the spoon handle is smooth. It has room for up to 20 characters, such as a first name with date of birth. The rattle is not engraved.

The engraving service covers the spoon; one flat fee is enough. When you pay, write your text in the order note at checkout, character for character exactly as it should appear. We will then agree the rest with you. If a request cannot be engraved, we will refund the amount to you.

A SilberVerse card, 15 × 10 cm, with a verse created individually for the christening and the child's name, is yours free on request.

Godparents choose it for the christening, grandparents for the birth. The set also suits a baby shower. If you would like more colour on the spoon, take a look at the set with honey bear.

Christening gift for a boy: questions before you buy

Why give silver for a christening?
Silver lasts. Spoon and rattle outlive childhood and can be passed on later. That is why silver has long been a popular christening gift.

Can the two pieces be ordered separately?
Yes. The spoon is available as the children's spoon with boy and rocking horse, the rattle as the teddy handle rattle on its own.

How do I care for the blackened spoon?
Wash it by hand and rub it dry with a soft cloth. The dark recesses are part of the spoon and stay as they are. It does not belong in the dishwasher.

Is the set also available with enamel on the spoon?
Yes. In the set with honey bear, the spoon carries brown enamel and a gold-plated crown. The rattle is the same.
