DoDo Angel Christening Set 925 Silver — Cup, Rattle and Keepsake Pacifier

What is a typical christening gift? Often a cup, frequently with a rattle alongside. This christening set in 925 silver combines both and adds a keepsake pacifier. The cup and the rattle each bear an angel in relief. All three pieces lie together in the case.

Three pieces in the DoDo case

For a capacity of 100 ml, the cup measures approx. 60 × 60 × 50 mm. On the front sits an angel with a halo, and three dots adorn the handle, two in green and blue enamel and one gold-plated. The rattle measures approx. 140 × 45 × 15 mm. Its round head shows an angel in relief.

The case measures approx. 175 × 175 × 70 mm. Together, the three silver pieces weigh approx. 118 g.

Rattle and cup: a christening classic

The rattle has a loop at the base of the handle and a relief bow at the end of the handle. The rattle belongs to the first months; the cup accompanies the child later at the table. That way the set stays in use for years. You can learn more about the tradition in the guide to the silver rattle.

Silver keepsake pacifier

The pacifier is a keepsake. It weighs approx. 17 g and measures approx. 43 × 43 × 65 mm. On the ring you can make out hearts and dots in relief; the shield beneath stays silver. The teat is translucent white. You may use it for the christening celebration or for photos. It belongs to the celebration, not to everyday use, and otherwise stays in the case. Clean the teat after each use.

Engraving on the cup, rattle not engravable

The smooth back of the cup offers space for up to 20 characters, such as a name and date. The rattle cannot be engraved; its handle has lengthwise grooves and a bow relief. The pacifier is not engraved.

For the engraving on the cup, one engraving service goes into your cart. Write what should be engraved in the “order note at checkout”. We will then get in touch with you. If a request is not technically possible, you will get the amount back.

Our SilberVerse card comes in the 15 × 10 cm card format, and we add it to the set free of charge on request. You will find ideas for verses with angels in the article SilberVerse for birth and christening.

Christening set with rattle: questions before you give

How does this set differ from the sets with a spoon?
Here, a rattle lies in the case instead of the spoon. The sets with blue-hemmed spoon and with pink-hemmed spoon offer a spoon instead.

How do I care for the rattle and the cup?
Clean the cup and rattle with lukewarm water; a soft cloth is then enough. Never put them in the dishwasher. Do not scour the enamel on the handle.

Can I also order the cup on its own?
Yes, as the children's cup with angel. The rattle and pacifier are available individually too: the angel handle rattle and the silver pacifier with hearts.
