Silver cutlery set made of 925 silver Harmonie Black 4-piece

A 925 sterling silver cutlery set in which the niello ornamentation stands on its own without any gold plating: black, hand-engraved ornaments on a silver background, featuring the same floral lines on the handle and spoon bowl as its Harmonie Gold counterpart — just in a calmer, purely silver tone. A set for those who prefer niello contrasts without an additional layer of gold.

The niello ornaments are not only located on the handle but extend into the spoon bowl and onto the fork tines — floral motifs that have been hand-engraved and subsequently filled with the dark niello alloy. Without the additional gold layer of the Harmonie Gold version, the contrast between the polished silver and matte black niello appears particularly clear. Those looking for the same lines with a warm gold tone can find them in the matching Harmonie Gold set.

Material and craftsmanship

Each of the four pieces is crafted from 925 sterling silver. The oval handle cartouche features a hand-engraved floral pattern that has been filled with niello and polished — a technique in which the dark compound is melted in an open flame and then worked until the characteristic interplay of shine and matte black becomes visible. The result is a permanent bond with the silver that does not wear off but gains contrast with every polish.

Use and occasions

The 4-piece set is designed as a place setting for one person, making it suitable as a personal gift for a wedding, anniversary, or as a conscious start to a silver cutlery collection. It is also suitable for your own elevated everyday table if you value hand-engraved details without gold plating dominating the overall impression. Upon consultation, the set can be expanded to include further pieces, such as serving or dessert cutlery in the same design.

Engraving and SilberVerse card

Following a review, we can engrave initials or a date into the handles to turn the set into a personal gift. We will also design a complimentary 15 x 10 cm SilberVerse card — digital in photo format with your custom text — to make the gift presentation even more personal.

Care

Wash the set by hand with warm water and mild dish soap to protect the niello ornamentation. We advise against using a dishwasher, as aggressive cleaners and high temperatures can damage the surface and the niello contrast. Dry the pieces immediately after washing with a soft cloth and store them in a dry place, ideally in the included gift box. A silver polishing cloth helps with light tarnishing and makes the niello lines stand out even more clearly.
