Material and workmanship

At the top of the handle sits a main orange star in enamel, above it a gold-plated crown, and along the handle follow a yellow and a blue mini-star — the work of the Russian manufacturer ArgentA. The rattle, by contrast, is a Zaramella piece from Italy: a large, fully sculpted silver star forms the handle end, followed by a classically ornamental stem handle, entirely without color.

As a godparent's gift for a christening, the star symbolism represents a good path in life; the rattle is there for grasping, under parental supervision. Care

Wash the spoon and rattle gently with lukewarm water and a little mild dish soap, and dry them with a soft cloth. For the polished silver surfaces, a silver polishing cloth is sufficient; avoid the enamel areas. Neither item is dishwasher safe.
